Abstract A handbook has been developed which enables the user to predict wellhead fluid pressure, temperature and quality (steam fraction) for geothermal wells in two phase flow, when certain reservoir parameters are supplied. The procedure requires only a pocket electronic calculator and a series of graphs which are presented in the handbook. Input parameters may be changed so that the influence of such variable on the wellhead conditions can be determined through graphs of results or other numerical techniques. Several simplying assumptions were made to permit the present treatment. The graphs include show water properties as they change with temperature, and two phase pressure drop as a function of well depth (for a discrete set of input parameter). The use rise led through the procedure by the handbooks' Well Design Data Sheet.
