| Abstract | Computations of multivariant solute equilibrium states in geothermal fluids can be applied to a variety of aspects of geothermal reservoir studies. Interpretations of results, however, can be misleading unless attention is given to several common sources of uncertainty. Predominant among these sources are poorly defined and controlled sampling and analysis of geothermal fluids, and actual changes in fluid compositions with time. |
