| Abstract | Determine the effectiveness and feasibility of laser-enhanced drilling (LED) of hard rock to improve drilling and boring operations for subsurface energy related technologies. Enhancing heat extraction from deep granitic geothermal reservoirs will enable minimizing environmental and seismic hazards while securing and maximizing domestic more reliable sources of energy by tapping in the national deep non mined heat resources. |
