| Abstract | GeoCool plant was the result of a EU project whose main purpose was to adapt ground source heat pump technology to cooling dominated areas. The installation was finally built by the end of year 2004 and it has been monitored since February 2005 until nowadays. The system energy performance parameters have been calculated and analyzed over the different years of operation of the system. This work presents the energy performance measurements of GeoCool ground source heat pump system collected and analyzed as well as the thermal response of the ground during five years of operation. The analysis of the experimental results shows that the system energy performance is maintained through the years with no appreciable impact on ground thermal response. |
