| Abstract | The Arctic Green Innovation Center is developing resource monitoring, characterization and control systems focusing on low-enthalpy geothermal reservoirs. A part of this is a methodology that is used for creating production schedules with high information content, at moderate cost, with a view of the information already gathered from previous production data. The methodology focuses on pressure responses to changes in injection and production rates. The system is cast in state-space form and the Fisher Information Matrix (FIM) is used as a metric for the information content gathered from previous excitations of the system. Adding, new and informative signals to the FIM at opportune times gradually creates a better characterized reservoir model, allowing more accurate predictions and better informed decisions for resource utilization. |
