| Abstract | Since 2011, the Japanese government has begun a policy to enhance renewable energy. This includes a project of supercritical carbon recycle CO2 (ScCO2) geothermal power generation. Okubo et al. (2023) calculated Curie point depths (CPDs) of Japan using the method developed by Bouligand et al. (2009) for the new type of geothermal resources assessment. The magnetic data is from East/Southeast Asia magnetic anomaly map (3rd edition) at 2-minute intervals. CPDs performed in the case of 50 km window size ranges 6-9 km deep in volcanic areas and is deeper than 9 km in non-volcanic areas. The result shows an average effect of 50 km window size. The result was compared with drillhole data. The comparison indicates that the CPDs represent reginal geothermal structures but fail to delineate local anomalies due to the average effect. Heli-borne magnetic surveys were conducted in several geothermal fields. Using the data and the data of 2-minute intervals, CPD analysis was performed. As a result, the local anomalies by the drillhole data were delineated. We compile the results of heli-borne data combined CPD analysis and the drillhole data in order to construct a 3-D geothermal structural model and discuss the potential of ScCO2 geothermal system. |
